The Social and Environmental Studies Department's courses explore our human nature, our lives, together in societies, past and present, and our relationship with the natural world. We help students understand themselves, the world we live in, and the forces - human and environmental - that shape our lives - now and in the future. SES courses help students develop key investigative, analysis and communications skills to help them become better students, better adults, and better citizens of Canada and the world.
