Dear TISS Intermediate Parents, Guardians and Students,
While many Grade 7 and 8 students took home most of their personal belongings prior to the April break, there are still some items in student desks that may need to be collected. Other students have borrowed items, including UCDSB technology devices and school textbooks, that need to be returned. We would also like to provide families with an opportunity to pick up Intermediate student report cards as well as Grade 8 Graduation mementos.
Teachers will be coming to school to pack up student belongings, label them and get them organized for pick up. When teachers are packing up student belongings, they will make online learning activities available to students.
In order to control traffic at the school and ensure we are following all public health recommendations, parents/guardians are asked to book a time to come to the school on Thursday, June 24 or Friday, June 25 between the hours of 7:00am and 3:00pm.
CLICK HERE here to access the online booking tool. (Be sure to select the “Belongings Pick Up/Drop Off” box to book a time.)
We will be using the Intermediate Activity Room as the pick-up and drop off location for this process. Please proceed to the back of the building and follow the “TISS Intermediate Entrance” signs. Upon arrival at the pick-up/drop off station, please be prepared to provide the name of your child as well as the name of their teacher. Staff will be happy to receive any items that you are returning and will provide you with your child’s items for pick up. Please wear a mask and respect physical distance requirements should you exit your vehicle.
Before coming to the school, we ask that everyone screen for COVID-19 symptoms.
If the above dates and times are not possible or if, after taking the screening, you are not able to come to the school to get your belongings or drop off borrowed resources, please contact the TISS Intermediate office (613-342-1100, extension 224) to make alternate arrangements.
Students who are enrolling in UCDSB summer learning programs and courses do not need to return loaned devices at this time. All other UCDSB and SEA technology devices need to be returned during this process.
Thank you,
Lyndsay Pilling
Vice Principal
